THE REASON FOR DESTINY CHURCH
Pastor Tim and Nadine Rust started Destiny Church, in October of 2011 with a shared dream for Destiny to be a church filled with heartfelt praise and worship that touches heaven and changes earth. A church that is so dependent on the Holy Spirit that nothing will stop it nor stand against it. A church whose people are unified, praying and full of the Holy Spirit. A church where people can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, as they drive by and walk through the front doors.

A HOME, HOTEL, COFFEE SHOP & THE YWCA
The Rust’s started Destiny by meeting in a home, and a few months later, the church had outgrown the home. Destiny then moved to the Border's Hotel. While the hotel worked for a while, Destiny members wanted their own building to host services and reach the community, so a coffee shop was purchased in 2012, and converted into a new gathering place for Destiny members. Several years later, Destiny outgrew the coffee shop, so service was held at the YWCA until a new building was found.

A MECHANIC SHOP TO OUR HOME
In August of 2016, the coffee shop was sold, and with the help of volunteers and construction workers, a mechanic shop became Destiny’s new home. On October 31, 2016, Destiny officially acquired the building with construction ending around March of 2017. In April of 2017, the first official service was held at Destiny's current location - 4306 W HWY 30, Grand Island, Nebraska.

To implement new programs and support existing ones, which assist people with needs and training in our community.

To have a facility which provides personal growth and services which improve our neighborhoods and communities.
